Summer Slide – The Learning Loss

Summer slide is a common issue experienced by children across all levels. But it gets a tad bit serious at the advanced level because, at this level, time is precious. The good news however is that you can easily avoid a summer slide by enrolling your child in a summer course.

Our summer courses will keep your child in touch with the curriculum all through the summer break and will ensure that your child returns to school, ready for the upcoming lessons. ELA (English Language Arts) Advanced Level is a summer course for students in Grade 9 and 10. It aims to help students think critically and abstractly about the information at hand. It also enhances their communication and soft skills that can be useful at different stages of life.

This course offers 20 engaging sessions that span over 8-10 weeks. Each class is for a one-hour duration and is aligned with common core pedagogy.

ELA summer course begins with a diagnostic test that helps us assess your child’s learning abilities. We will discuss the result with you and then proceed with a change in curriculum and timeline if needed.

ELA Advanced Level Summer Course comes with comprehensive worksheets for rigorous practice and end-of-week assessments to understand every week’s progress. The students are also assessed at the end of the course to gauge their learning during the course.
