Summer Slide or Summer Learning Loss
Summer slide is the general phenomenon where students experience academic loss in the summer break and return to school with a need to revise and relearn several of the topics from the previous year. This academic year, the issue has been compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic and the slide is worse than ever in all age groups.
But you don’t have to worry because you can easily remedy this problem with the help of a summer course. If your child is between grades 3-5, you can consider registering in an ELA – Elementary Level 2 Summer Course to cover the learning gaps from last year’s school closures. This course will also help your child prepare for the subject in the upcoming year and perform well in the next grade.
ELA Summer Course for Elementary Level 2
eTutorWorld has created a specialized course of 20 engaging sessions for your child. This course spans over 8 weeks and has been built upon the common core pedagogy. The curriculum is complemented with media engagement, age-appropriate activities, and worksheets.
At eTutorWorld, ELA summer courses aim to bridge the learning gap created at school and bring the child at-level with their peers. This year, we have modified the curriculum to match pace with the learning loss caused by the pandemic and hope to prepare our students for in-person school (in the future).
Diagnostic Assessment Test
The first step towards a successful summer course at eTutorWorld is to test your child’s learning abilities and requirements. With the result in hand, we can then customize the curriculum to make it just right for your child. You are also free to share your concerns/concern areas with us and our tutors will ensure to cover them in the lessons.
