Full-Length Digital SAT Practice Tests

The SAT is moving to a new form of delivery to be computer adaptive, but it does not make the test more difficult or very different from the pen-and-paper format. You must have all the information about the test, including the sections, the time for each section, and what they cover. Here is all the information you need about Digital SAT to understand what changes you can expect:

Digital SAT refers to the digital format of the SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test), a standardized test widely used in the United States for college admissions. Traditionally administered on paper, the SAT is transitioning to a digital format exclusively to offer more flexibility and convenience to test takers.

The digital SAT includes the same sections (Reading and Writing and Math) as the paper-based SAT version, but it is taken on a computer or tablet using specialized software. The new digital SAT aims to provide a modern and efficient testing experience for students.

The new digital SAT consists of two sections: (a) Math and (b) Reading and Writing.

Students are given 64 minutes for the Reading and Writing section for 54 questions, while for the Math section, 70 minutes for 44 questions. There is a 10-minute break between the Reading and Writing and Math sections.

Digital SAT Test contains 98 questions in 134 minutes total

Note: Most of the Digital SAT questions are in the multiple-choice format. Also, there is no negative marking in Digital SAT, so it is better to make a good guess to answer any difficult question than to leave it unanswered.

1. Reading and Writing

The Reading and Writing section of the test includes short passages and multiple-choice questions. These questions cover four content domains: Craft and Structure, Information and Ideas, Expression of Ideas, and Standard English Conventions. Similar questions are grouped together to help with time management and arranged from easiest to hardest.

The test has two modules, each featuring questions from all four domains. The questions assess

  • Comprehension
  • Analysis
  • Reasoning
  • Interpretation
  • Evaluation
  • Integration
  • Synthesis
  • Vocabulary
  • Rhetorical understanding
  • Revision skills
  • Adherence to Standard English conventions.

2. Math

In the Digital SAT Math section, there are 4 crucial areas:

  • Algebra
  • Advanced Math
  • Problem-Solving and Data Analysis
  • Geometry and Trigonometry

The math Section is divided into 2 modules. In each module, questions from all four categories appear in each test module and are arranged from easiest to hardest.

The Number of Questions in Algebra and Advanced Math is 13 – 15 questions while in Geometry and Trigonometry and Problem-Solving and Data Analysis is 5 – 7 questions.

Each section is scored on a scale of 200-800, and the combined scores from these two sections result in your Total Score which ranges between 400 to 1600. The optional Essay section is scored separately on a scale of 6-24.

Moreover, there is no change in scoring in Digital SAT to SAT Test. A Digital SAT Test score of 1450 is equivalent to 1450 on a paper and pencil SAT Test.
